A little while ago Jayson had a Monday off from school and so we went driving up the island to see what we could find. We drove up past Annandale Falls and found a little hike - it turned out to be just above Grand Etang Lake. Anyway, along the way we found all these things to photograph.

This one is my favorite.
We loved the way these leaves curled.
This is my other favorite of the day.
All along the trail were these huge bugs - about the size of my palm - making this horrible siren noise. One of them flew down in the middle of the path and so Jayson got really close to it - trying to get the perfect shot - it got really mad and flew straight at him! It hit him in the forehead. Jayson said it hurt! Then it buzzed past my head and scared the crap out of me. Sheesh!!
