One year older and wiser too

Lu turned one!! It was nice to spend her birthday with family. Jayson and his grandpa made mostaccioli and sauerkraut (a traditional Yugoslavian dish.) It was fun to see them cook in the kitchen together. Meanwhile I attempted to decorate cupcakes. Notice you don't see them here :) They were very ... buttery :) Anyway, she wasn't all that into her cupcake. She's so funny with food. She has to take little little tastes and half the time she spits it back out. Because I'm her mother I find it hilarious and quirky. Not so sure anyone else would think so though. Her favorite presents were the universal remote and little tikes bus. She'll still push that around and around the house. Love it. Overall she's still little - 10% for height and weight ... and 50% for head :) Poor kid. We think she's beautiful though. She still gets up once between 3-5 am, but not to nurse. No more nursing babies. Sad and glad, you know. Instead she'll just curl up with me in bed. I love it. It's nice to have company on the nights Jayson is working. She still isn't walking, but she could if she wanted to. She's just so dang comfortable crawling. She's been doing it for seven months now! But we're trying to get her to walk. She's such a lovable thing and shy, but she's also a tease and loves to laugh. She'll fight for what she wants and has very strong lungs. She's our Lulu and we love her!
